Guys,
Got a problem with my D4D with what looks like aerated diesel entering the main filter resulting in the engine difficult to start or idle, anyone got ideas?
600km ago I had the same problem with little or no fuel getting to the filter inlet side, coincident with faulty main tank sender unit signalling that the tank was 1/4 full when it was really empty. Had the tanks off and sender replaced, pickup was very dirty too! Filter between tanks was replaced, as with main filter in engine bay. Engine ran as expected for over 600km (road trip), but on my way home from work she konked out and the symtoms returned, priming would get her started again, but only for a short time then she'd konk out again - high rev's would keep her going though.
Hope you can help.
Thanks,
Tony
