    I'm not sure I understand, my 150 has a 150L fuel tank.

Mate, I am interested why you put a long range fuel tank in, for the extra 46 litres (and extra weight, I am assuming you are going to upgrade your suspension), what was the cost?

My SX gives around 9-10litres / 100 when in the bush (better than that on the highway), so the standard 87 litre tank = a range of around 800-900km.
          cheers
          Simon

Simon, Mate I got it as part of the buy. To be honest I did not really look at how economical in fuel the Prado was. I figured 10 or 11L per hundred. So as it went on the loan was not to concerned. Also I figure you can never have too much fuel when touring. Means I can buy it cheaper in the larger places then just keep cruising. The cost I am not to sure about as the car yard did it as a package with the bar. I think the extra was about $3000.00 but not to sure. Also the new tank increases your departure angle and is stronger.
As for suspension I am going to do that. It will be the last mod I do. That way I can roll in go here it is and this is all the junk I have. Please raise it three inches.

            Hope this helps?
            SOL.

Hey Sol given you have a tow bar perhaps the hitch mount winch cradle from Tigerz11 is an option?

OOPS, meant to reply in your rear bar thread.

                  Hey Sol,

I've also got the Genisis 50W HID which I find are extremely good.

I dont use any filters because when I use them with the Std High Beam, I find that the spread from that is sufficient.
From the pic, you will probably find you may have to point them up a little higher to get you further down the road, and also a little less glare off the road itself.

                  Great Build Sol,

                  Cheers,

                  Jeff

                    SOL,
I have the Genisis 50w HID on my SX with the clear combo lens on both and they are great. The only thing is that when you dip the lights to low beam, it looks and feels like you are in the dark for a second or so until your eyes adjust. My son has the blue combo lens on his Genisis and he likes them also.

                    Regards

                      Gents, Thanks for the replies.
Brother is doing a run to Albury on Wednesday and will set the lights up whilst out in the open. He is also going to check the trip computer to fuel usage ratio to see if we need to get it recalibrated to the larger tank.

Sol, I don't think the computer can be recalibrated to the larger tank. Dulcie, another shorty owner has had the LRA 137 litre tank fitted and asked Toyota if it could be done and the answer was "No". Relevant thread is http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...r-a-bigger-one .. But I guess it doesn't hurt to ask again you might be lucky.

Why didn't you just use the mounts on the bullbar? I think I'd be ditching the wheel cover, looks a bit weird stuck out that way.

Tell Pete to pull off that Mazda sticker, wouldn't want to give the shorty a complex now!

Fido, I personally do not like the antenna in the front. It also gets that little extra hight from the way it is mounted. Yep the wheel cover will come off wheel it finally gets home to Darwin. It has to stay on as it is the only way to get it home.

These are the first time I had seen the rear and that their was stickers on their. So yes they will be coming off. It was my plan to get a Prado point one and put it on. But was debating on the side windows or the rear door?
