Factory Tow bar 3Door / Rear Side Demisters

Hi All,

Took my ZR in for warranty yesterday -

1. Rear left hand side interior vibrates
2. Side Demisters not working
3. Voice Recognition not working


Well it seemed that 1 & 2 were related, the explanation i got was that when the tow bar was installed by pre delivery; the side demisters where disconnected as the wiring harness crosses that side . The side rear demisters also double up as the antenna too...

So the car is going back again so all the wiring can be checked, they basically need to remove the rear interior including seats, carpet and side panels

Voice Recognition still not working, will be checked with the above (Third time)

Has anyone else used the side rear demisters?

Hi G,

I'm really interested to see if they can fix your voice recognition problem. See my post titled "ZR/Kakadu voice recognition doesn't work" in the General (150) forum for more info. My dealer raised a Dealer Product Report (DPR) on this issue at the beginning of March and I've still heard nothing!

Do you really think the voice recognition thing is a real problem. I now have a voice tag for at least 100 of my contacts and although it does always say that their are multiple matches, it only gives you a choice of 3 andf the one I want is always on the top. All it means is you have to tap the screen once to get the number to work. While I am sure it is nt meant to be like that, I dont find it a hassle to use or anything.

LOL, after the dealer claimed that the car was fitted with side window demisters... seems that they are only antenna's .

The voice recognition was not fixed as they claimed it was working as per normal, but my Lexus has a similar feature and dials the matched voice tag with no further interaction. I requested they raise with Toyota.

interior vibrations fixed at last! after 4 attempts
