Some exciting news....

Just placed my name on the waiting list for the all new Toyota Prado - Launch date : November 2009 !!!!!! I asked the dealer to forward me some images - told me to have a look at the Lexus ??? Hmmm could this be the one ? Minus some styling ?

Have a look at : http://www.lexus.com/models/LX/

Tell me what you think, could be good. Will post any more info.

Oh and BTW I was told there will definately be a v8 in the mix ? Who knows dealers are generally full of sh&t

At the moment I have zero info. I phoned Totota HQ to enquire. They took my details and I recieved a call about 20min later from my local dealer.... told me that I would be one of the first to take delivery of the new shape but that he did not have anything to send me at this stage.

Really only gave me sales talk.... wel'll see. I am hoping to recieve a call within the next couple of weeks to discuss specifications. Will keep you posted.

Those are great pics the best yet you can tell a lot about the new Prado from the interior shots. And the rumor about the third row fold down seats is true. Now for that back door will the aussie version keep the swing out one ?

If this is toyota's effort at the new Prado, I guess when mine is ready to replace, I will be buying a 200. These look very plastic and extremely gay...

Suspension looks much the same... live axle rear... looking at that front sway bar it has KDSS :D ... Should go well off road as long as they don't make it to low

Toyota are in talks trying to source a new supplier for their bars. They were rejecting 1 out of 4 for quality and finish reasons with the old supplier. So at the moment you can still order a Toyota bar but the wait time is unknown looks like TJM and ARB have the market. I've also posted elsewhere that Bocar the previous supplier based on the Gold Coast is in administration.

Your right Matt, this 07 owner will ring its life out of it for another 3 years, then get either a 200 or even a top notch 100, this does look gay. Hope those spoiler looking options are addons and not part of the body, cause I would get the GX if thats the GXL ewwww!!!! And the prado just lost the eightseater appeal, its now a seven by looking at the back seats down there is only two in the back. So we lose 30ltrs of fuel (heresay), gain a fold down seat and tyre under car, and lose a seating Number and gain extreme gayness :|
Steering wheel looks practical with adjustments, centre consol looks jammed packed with goodies, and the GPS area has gone from a 7inch to ta handheld screen size... :| that will hurt the eyes wont it
