  • Prado cargo bay roller blind.

Found this link to a Toyota made part for the 120 series.

It is the roller blind to pull out from top of the middle row seats and clip in near the rear door to cover whatever is sitting in the cargo area (boot).

Toyota part number is: 08201-60800 And it is known as a Tonneau cover (Grey or Ivory). It is available as an accessory for the European model and may prove troublesome to source in AUST.
Cost would be around $200-300 AUD. (Approx).

    Installation manual with pics. http://techdoc.toyota-europe.com/legacy ... &%20B0.pdf

not bad idea but seems pretty pricey, u can get ya windows tinted for around $260, just a thought, does the same thing with a few advantages

Yeah but no matter how dark the tint, you can still see thru if your in the right light..

I have 20% (ambulance) on top of the factory tint and it is still quite easy to see thru when the light is coming from the right angle..

When you have lots and lots of $$$ in the back its a good hideaway idea.

Considering the Hi-Lux kit in the US is going for around the US$100 I think they are asking way too much for the Prado kit here.

On further discussions, they didn't find the part in AU or Japan so they made a guess based on other models  I'll keep searching.

These are common in company fleet wagons and have been for at least five years we have them all makes . I'll ask our fleet manager about their origin . Have gone out of favour with serious users as you can't stack the junk in to the roof ,only good for the office jocky's !
We have security mesh on side and rear glass instead now . I carry up to $300k + of test gear and up to $20k of tools so you need to keep em out not just stop them looking .

might we then sorce a bulk purchase, and import a few?
anyone got an importers license or know more on the duty for importing?

                            hi

was looking for a cargo blind, have found a business in SA that markets for prado only in grey

quoted $400, has any one found a suitable blind at a better cost?

                            thanks

Window tinting is cheaper than that. My tint makes it almost impossible to see into the caro area.
