        Hey Guys,

Just a quick note on these bumpstops for those interested. We have plenty of them in stock ready to ship out.
We offer the various forum members them for $85 delivered as a ongoing group buy price.

They are also on eBay for $95. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200925365114...84.m1555.l2649

We have had plenty of FJ Cruiser and Hilux customers fit them and they are working very well.
A few guys have had to space them a little to suit their individual vehicle set up.

We have sold a few sets of them to Prado 120 and 150 guys and to date everyone seems pretty happy with them.

If you are interested please send a PM or email [email protected]

        Thanks,
        Matt

Just relaying info from the FJCC forum regarding these bump stops.

            http://www.fjcc.com.au/f27/superbump...html#post14801

            Hey Fellas,

As some of you would be aware Saw had an issue with a Bilstein strut failure on his recent trip that has been attributed to the Susperbumps he had fitted compressing more than the factory bumpstops, allowing the strut to top out and lead to the failure.

We are currently in discussions and testing with Wheelers who build these Superbumps in the US to see what the issue is and what the best solution is.

If anyone who has bought these Superbumps from MR has concerns and would like to remove them from their vehicles we are happy to offer a refund on the purchase.

We are looking at some spacers and will release more information as it comes to hand on what we find with the Superbumps. No need for panic, Saw's FJ did a lot of hard miles at high speed and unless you are planning a pretty hard outback trip with a of long high speed desert driving with a heavily loaded FJ then the risk is minimal in terms of day to day driving and low speed wheeling.

In the interim if you plan on some sustained hard offroad high speed driving I suggest you remove the Superbumps and put the standard bumpstops back in.

the Superbumps are fine for day to day driving and low speed wheeling, it's just sustained hard driving at speed which appears to the be the issue.

We just wanted to post something up to let all the FJCC members know we are addressing the issue.

Drop Twisty a PM or email and we can make arrangements to get the Superbumps back and then refund you if you decide you would like to remove them from your FJ.

            Thanks,
            Matt
Good on them for being upfront and addressing the issue.

Very interesting. I doubt I will ever get close to hammering them enough to see if there is a problem. Thanks for the post though.

I have actually spoken to Matt at Monster Rides and he confirmed that on some struts these Superbumps need to be spaced to avoid the issue. I suggest to talk to him directly if anyone has any concerns or questions, he'll be able to tell you if your particular strut is OK.

I like these bump stops but the FJ that experienced the failure has basically the same suspension that I do. Since I am leaving for the Simpson in just over 2 weeks I decided to put a couple of spacers in, dropping the bump stop by 12mm. Time will tell but I think this should keep me safe whilst still providing the better ride.

All good, have 15mm under them spacer to suit my struts.

They sure aren't as harsh as the factory stops if you happen to bottom out at speed!

Run a hole saw though an old plastic chopping board (or buy a cheapie). I've found these in 10, 12, and 15mm sizes. Material is HDPE and works well.
