  • DPF "Possible" recall....???

On the Fortuner forum there is talk of a possible recall regarding the DPF's on the Fortuner, Hilux and prado's. Has anyone got confirmation of this. I'm still waiting for a response from Toyota.

Not being privy to the fortuner forum, can't say I've heard of too many DPF issues, both on PP and in the media.

Only 1 DPF issue that I recall on here.

What would the recall be for?
    Cheers
    Micheal.

I put a post on the DPF thread that there is an update. Not a blanket recall, but as they have a software update on the pipeline and some parts being shipped from Japan, I'd not be surprised

The dealer just got back to me, they can't find a recall, so a general quiet replacement may still be in the pipeline.

My 2.8 is in for service in a few weeks - I will check if there is any updates now or planned. I have not had any problems though.

I asked my delaer and they are not aware of any hardware recall. There was a hint however of maybe a firmware update for the DPF.

Not surprising they won't give out corporate internal only information unless to an authorised representative. Lol - you may use it against them for a warranty claim 😂

What kms are the DPF issues showing up at?

Shall we get as many customers as we can to write to the "guest experience centre" asking about this issue all at the same time?
