On the Fortuner forum there is talk of a possible recall regarding the DPF's on the Fortuner, Hilux and prado's. Has anyone got confirmation of this. I'm still waiting for a response from Toyota.

Not being privy to the fortuner forum, can't say I've heard of too many DPF issues, both on PP and in the media.
Only 1 DPF issue that I recall on here.

I put a post on the DPF thread that there is an update. Not a blanket recall, but as they have a software update on the pipeline and some parts being shipped from Japan, I'd not be surprisedComment

My 2.8 is in for service in a few weeks - I will check if there is any updates now or planned. I have not had any problems though.Comment

I asked my delaer and they are not aware of any hardware recall. There was a hint however of maybe a firmware update for the DPF.2018 150 Series Crystal Pearl Prado VX 2.8l. 2 inch King springs and Bilstein shocks, Airtek TJM snorkel.Comment
