Radiator drain tap

The head of the radiator drain tap broke off when trying to unscrew it, 'cos the plastic had deteriorated after nearly 10 years. Removed the front bash plate, cut a slot in the remaining raised portion of the tap using a short piece of hacksaw blade clamped in vice grips, then widened the slot using 2 pieces of blade. Used the back of the blade of a short knife get the tap turning (hence using the full width of the slot), then removed with fingers.
Radiator shops said no non genuine taps available for original radiator, so I will now renew the tap about every 5 years

yeh mine broke last time i changed the fluid. Was a real PITA to get out too
