  • Install catch can

Ok so I want to install a catch can. It seems simple enough, but I want to pick the brains of the people who've done it before. Are there any tips, tricks, or pitfalls to watch out for?
Does anybody have an opinion about the hp diesel catch can kit?

    Thanks in advance

The HPD catch Can looks like a nice piece of kit. A cousin of mine has one fitted to his 200 Series Landcruiser and is extremely happy with it.

I have been doing some research into catch cans for my 120 as well and I am torn between the HPD and the Mann & Hummel Provent 200. The Mann & Hummel will work out about $120 cheaper overall, but the only real difference is appearance. The HPD looks pretty schmick, I have to admit.

The one thing I haven't decided is where to mount it. When you have an auxiliary battery under the bonnet, there is little space left.

Thanks ####, I know you've written a fair bit here about the blanking plate.
Does that omit the carbon from entering altogether?

Thanks stanmiko, I've seen a pic on FB site with it mounted just up behind the air filter.

            #### I just read some of the blanking plate post, I just bought one with the 7mm hole. I'll read up and see where to install it. Many thanks. Just saved me $400
