Thinking of getting the Kaymar or AMTS wheel spacer so I can have rear light accessory. Also want to take cover off if I go bush (lucky I haven't had a flat yet but have heard stories of cover not going back on with the flat tyre and covers being discarded). Think it would be easier with a spacer on without cover for this purpose.
When I'm around town, which is most of the time, I'd like to keep the cover on. I asked the Kaymar guy at the last Adelaide 4wd show if I did install the spacer, could I refit the wheel cover AND the plastic backing plate. Dude had no idea.
I've looked through Kaymar website, other PP's build threads and can see pictures of the spacer fitted with the cover and backing but with no details how this is done.
Can anybody tell me if there are any issues putting the cover and backing plate on with a wheel spacer?
Are there any issues with length of bolts or wiring to get back to the rear view camera if you install the spacer?
Also appreciate comment on Kaymar spacer vs AMTS spacer. I don't think I'm gonna need the HF aerial attachment, only the light.
