Hi
I've just traded up from a 2007 GXL to a 2013 GXL. I'm very impressed with the changes. My question is has anyone else experienced a sticking Downhill Assist Control button and Centre Diff Lock button?
My wife jumped into the car yesterday and put her glasses down on top of the cupholder and knocked the DAC button on without realising. She rang me about 2 minutes later to say that the DAC icon was flashing on the dash and that she was going to home so I could have a look. The icon was flashing and the button was stuck in the on position. I pushed the button several times and it didn't want to deactivate, however after a bit of jiggling and a couple of engine restarts the hill descent deactivated.
Being the curious person I am I pushed both buttons and they stuck again. After more jiggling and swearing they finally disengaged. I promise not to touch it again.
I'm not sure if it's related but when I had the autoelectrician install the UHF and Phone Cradle he did have this panel out. The reason for this was there was a hole in the facia where the previous owner had a switch so we used that hole to run the speaker/microphone to UHF.
So my question is whether anyone else has had this problem. If so what cuased it and how did they rectify it?
many thanks
BigPat
