Hi All,
I've had my Prado 150 suspension changed by my local ARB just before Christmas.
The ride is so bad I eventually went back today and discovered they put rear suspension coils and shocks from a 120 series in 895 coils and 005 shocks. The front feels ok and has 2885 coils but I cant see the shock nr.
Due to the medium rear 150 coils not being available in Australia they want to just change the shocks to the medium 60080 shocks for a 150 and leave the 120 series coils.
The load rating on the 120 coils is the same as the 150 coils but 10mm shorter.
What do you think I should do? Take the new shocks to improve the ride for now and back order the 150 coils? Or insist on the lower rating 120 shocks until it all can be replaced.
Do I go to TJM or other suplier and just hand them their stuff back in a box?
I am concerned that the length of the 60080 shocks on the shorter coil will give me more drama than what the change is worth. Shock reaching its end before hitting a bump stop etc.
I have not paid them yet as Im still waiting for my bullbar etc they have not received yet(ordered over 2 months ago) but they put in this suspension on the day my car was booked in for and so far seems happy to fix the issue- but they obviously dont know what they are doing.
Any suggestions or comments please.
Thanks,
M
