Basic Dual battery setup for 1GD

Hi guys

After reading 24 pages in that sticky thread I really was none the wiser
obviously it's not for me so I'll just shoot a question here

So basic setup for 1x Engel 40lt fridge, just wanting to achieve 2days with out driving

Was looking at a basic VSR with an overide function as I had the same in my 79 series for years all hassle free
Any one have some real world feedback regarding dual battery setups ?
What do you have and how do you find it goes out bush

That is what I have in my 2.8 and so far so good. The second battery [ a Marine Pro 100ah] reads the same as the main battery.I haven't gone more tha 2 days so far but it was fine for that.

I Have a deep cycle battery in a cavity I built into my rear drawers. connected to the battery is a DC-DC Charger like this one
And the DC charger is connected diretly to the starter battery.

Simple and cheap.

Phs. Yes that is the battery but I weighed it at 22-23 kg, not 25.
