SUNDAY 28th of MAY 2017 - Welcome to the start of the GTG at Lake Argyle resort!

At Lake Argyle, we will have our own area to camp in as a group, just a short walk to the wonderful infinity pool and shop/ bar/ restaurant and facilities.

We will not have access to power during our stay so please make sure your batteries are charged and your solar is ready to deploy.
Lake Argyle will be hosting us for our Welcome Dinner that evening in their lovely alfresco eating area under the boabs.
We will have the Sunday and Monday to explore Lake Argyle and it's surrounds before we head to Kununurra on the Tuesday.
Lake Argyle Resort has various tours available - ranging from sunset boat tours on the lake to helicopter flights (provided by HeliSpirt) - http://lakeargyle.com/

As many of you will have come across the NT/ WA border and through quarantine, please be advised that Lake Argyle store will have some basic fruit and vegetables available to tide you over until we hit the bright lights of Kununurra on the Tuesday. (More to follow on quarantine requirements)

So kick back and relax and enjoy this amazing piece of the East Kimberley !!

Tuesday 30th May 2017 - Welcome to Kununurra and our hosts at Kimberleyland Caravan Park

We will depart the amazing surrounds of Lake Argyle and drive into Kununurra. This will be an earlyish start so that we can get settled and then head out to see what Kununurra and it's surrounds have to offer!

Our hosts for the night will be Kimberleyland Caravan Park, which is located on the Victoria Hwy, fronting Lily Lagoon.

As well as this fantastic view, the lush surrounds include a Tropical swimming pool, all amenities including laundry, outdoor kitchen and new addition "Spilled the Beans" coffee shop. The park is located 5 minutes from the main shopping centre and 10 minutes from the Mirima (Hidden Valley) National Park, where you can see the "beehive" rock formations that are also found in the Bungle Bungles and the park has some lovely short walks.

We will have a day tour itinerary available for those who wish it, but please feel free to do you own thing. You may wish to book a flight over Lake Argyle and the Bungle Bungles, or take a Triple J tour up to the Argyle dam via Lake Kununurra and Carlton Gorge. The trip is 55km and well worth it (we've done it twice!)

There will be time in the day for the necessary restock shop as well. We will discuss where the best place to get fuel will be closer to the time.

It would be great to have more time here but we guess you will just have to come back one day!!

That's nothing - I'm doing my head in with logistics of before and after the GTG. It is looking like a fortnight in Broome for us before the GTG!
