  • Tjm bullbar what recovery points will fit

    Hi guys
I just got a tjm t13 bullbar installed on my 120 07 vx prado the guys at the shop were supose to install recovery points my wife picked up the car sent me some photos and i quickly informed her they had forgotten.
So long story short they hadnt forgotten they just couldnt fit them on and said they tried two different types they also refunded the money afterwards would of preferred if they hadnt charged me for them and told us upfront but they were quick to refund once it was pointed out.
My question is has anyone fitted recovery points with the tjm t13 winch bar and if so which ones or how do u go about it
    Cheers

          Hi Prado_bosun,

I have almost the same setup as yourself - T13 bullbar with winch on a 2006 GXL.

I ended up going with RoadSafe branded units, made for the 150 series. They are shaped similarly to AMTS' units - As you can see in the photo, they are a strange elongated shape, and the top mounting hole is not used (the extra hole is used on the 150 or FJ I believe?).

I've painted mine black, and have left the attachment area yellow. They blend in very well. Remind me, and I'll take a photo for you when it isn't night time.

Having said all that, I can see that you are fairly new to the forum, so it is worth pointing out that AMTS is pretty well known on here for his fabrication work.

          And by the way, welcome...!

          Cheers,

          Dan

Also fitted the 150 Roadsafe brand to my 120 with an Ironman Bar (Similar mounts to the TJM's supposedly)..... Managed to drill a hole for the top mounting hole and used the supplied T-Nuts.

Trying to get away as much as we can with the 2003 GLX 120 Series Prado towing the Jayco Expanda or 5.3 Stacer Seamaster/Merc 90HP.
The Prado build up is in process
