Best value and easiest upgrade: replace standard headlight globes (low & high) with Osram +110% (or similar). About $100 for the 4 and 5 mins of effort. Big difference!

One of those remote control rooftop tent things. Set up in 5 minutes. Brilliant

I would definitely suggest to invest in a Fridge, install a Dual Battery System (with ample extra Anderson Plugs in-front and the back)... and REAR drawers.
The RoofRack... that is a very personal preference....

I would like to have a back-bone - flat tray (I think), but I already had an Alu Rhino Rack which I used from the RAV4.
The benefit is, it is reasonably sized, thus prevents me from packing the whole house on the roof... this also helped me curb a lot of extra crap that I normally took/want to take with.

Due to it having side-walls all-round, you do not have to worry tooo much about how/where you tie down. as long as things do not go air-born, you are good.
Having done some pretty impressive emergency stops for Skippies - its good to know that my stuff up-there is held in place by a roof-rack side/front wall.

One thing - do not skip on quality/industry expert stuff when you get a fridge... check the battery consumption and try to find out what compressor it runs.
the ACTUAL size vs. Usable size is a KEY property to look out for.
            - Waeco, ARB, ENGEL are expensive - but for a reason (brand, yes - but 100% reliability is the other side of their promise)
-- Check the specials over December

            I have a 150 prado -
            - ARB has a long(ish), slim - but TALL fridge (47l)
            - Waeco - their fridges are same length (+/-), is WIDER - but shorter (in height)....
-- I have a waeco (50l) and prefer it - as you can pack more and see more in the fridge - but uses approx 7-10 cm more in width...
-- when I had drawers installed (ORS) - because I have a waeco, I could only get 400mm (internal) drawers, not the 500mm
-- but... because of this - I was able to mount a Solar Panel (or Table) above the fridge (I have an ORS FridgePack System)

            - ENGEL - cannot comment...

Chooose Wisely - you only buy a Fridge ONCE (maybe twice)

                Flat rack is good.

Arb under bonnet compressor is great.

                    Hello,

Even with low millage, 2003 is not a new vehicle. My advice is to keep your money and DRIVE, DRIVE AND DRIVE YOUR RIDE. Sooner than later you will realize that things will start falling apart and you'll need the cash for proper repairs. Then when you are sure you have a reliable ride, start upgrading. What would you do faraway in the bush with a nice bulbar and an overheated engine or a burned clutch??? Keep things simple and DRIVE.

                    Greetings.

                    Alex.

Another top bang for your buck.
Yesterday I finally put my steering wheel cover on.

                      http://ebay.to/2g0m6jL

Stupidly hard to make fit over wheel, because it must be tight, an hour or so to stitch up, but looks & feels like a very exe momo. I went for black stitching, Worth doing. Love it.

Thankx to one of the Hilux boys, I saw it on that with red stitching & it looked great, though it was an exe steering wheel.

                      Cheers.

Dual batteries, fridge, compressor, scanguage, rhino flat platform, lift kit, Bullbar and UHF in that order. I use every one of those accessories often and am glad i have them.
