I replaced the imperial studs with metric studs on both my box trailer with no brakes and my Jayco with elec brakes, the studs are just generic metric studs, the knurl was the same between the old imperial and new metric studs. I'm running Prado Alloys on both with factory Toyota wheel nuts. The studs just hammer out and hammer in. I couldn't find imperial nuts to suit the Prado rim.

Hi 5logs, this is almost exactly what I'm hoping to do. Any details on what you used/where you acquired the bits?

Also, did you have any issues with the hub centric factory alloys going onto the trailer (presumably) held only by the nuts now?

      Cheers
      Tim
