I have a 2003 Prado 120 Grande 4.0 petrol. I attached another light bar today and in doing so I had to disconnect the battery. After i had reconnected everything the VSC TRC and VSC OFF lights are illuminated on the dash. The engine also idled roughly (Approximately 400rpm where it usually idles at 600-1000rpm). The idle problem seems to have resoleved itself however. I have check the fuses and they all seem to be fine. Has anyone experienced this before or know of a fix for it? If so that would be gratefully appreciated.

Very rarely a v6 4.0 will start and idle rough. I've had a few that do it. It clears after a restart or a few revs.
If you get certain electronic faults. (Usually with a check engine light on as well) the vsc/ trc etc lights illuminate.
It's known as the xmas tree lights. It's a program in the main ecu that shuts those systems down incase they are causing issues.
May not be the problem with yours. I'd suggest getting something plugged in to read any error codes. Might shed some light.
