  • Correct bullbar fitting? Correct bullbar? 90 series

    Hi All,
My first time posting here. I recently bought a second hand alloy bullbar off of gumtree for my 2000 90 series GXL. I have fitted it but the plastic wheel arch covers (I don't know what they are called) don't align with the bullbar. I'm wondering if I've fitted it correctly? Or is this even the right bullbar for my car (could it be a bullbar for one of the older "RV" model?).

Additionally there was a little rope attachment hook which didn't fit into the attachment bracket when I fitted the bullbar.

Do I need to change the wheel arch lining? Exchange the bullbar? Does the missing hook matter?

Photos can be seen here: https://1drv.ms/a/s!At5AVpvmkQyVg7UUIg8brdd4_61NLA

The part number on the bullbar is PZQ29 60100. Label says 'Prado Estate Bullbar'.

    Looks very similar to http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post361003

The only thing I can answer for here is that the hook left over is a factory tow hook the new bar has what look to be recovery points built into the bullbar brackets so the tow hook is not required now

Thanks 2000RVPrado, I wondered if that was the case. I'm tempted to take off the plastic mud guard as it came loose yesterday while driving made a nasty noise rubbing on the tyre.

The front of the wheel arch lining will hang down lower than the Bull Bar.

I just tied mine up and hooked it out of the way.

Never been an issue in all the years I have had the Prado. (Getting onto 19 years now).

        Cheers,
        Mal
