Hi all,
I know this is probably answered elsewhere but I'm having trouble finding it. I'm paranoid about electrical work so want it right in my head before proceeding.
Have bought a Redarc Tow Pro and trying to wire it myself.
Noticed there's a lumen harness and have a few questions.
1 - Is the blue free wire spliced into number 1? Think I read in other threads about a blue wire so just want to confirm I should be attaching the blue wire from the redarc (12V Trailer Brakes) to this blue wire? Not the red (number 1) 'trailer brake' wire from the controller?
2 - What's everyone's consensus for the red redarc 'vehicle brake light' wire? Should I run that to the back of the vehicle and attach it to:
a - the back of the actual brake light
b - splice it into the number 5 'car brake' on the lumen
or should I attach it somewhere else????
Redarc note to "refer to vehicle manufacturer specifications regarding correct connection point for the brake light signal (RED) wire".
cheers,
