I'm hunting for a decent diesel 120 at the moment here in Tokyo but I really love the look of the face lifted 150s. (love but when they are literally 3X the price, I'm happy with a 120) Anyhow, seems all the locals complain about how terrible the headlights are on the 120's and the US spec GX470 owners seem to have the same gripes....so now i'm wondering if anyone has tried to fit the 150 Hood/fenders/headlights/etc on the 120?

Has anyone done a Prado 150 Facelift on a 120?

Konichiwa Matsuki San. I am not sure if any parts are compatible and cost would be heinous. It's never dark in Tokyo! You don't need lights!!My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

I've seen the locals here do similar things with different gens of Toyota vans and such...just wondering if it's as "simple" as hood, lights, bumper, brackets, and customer fenders.
I get out to the mountains on the other side of the country every weekend...that's why I'm soooo concerned with the lighting. No street lights, narrow even for Japan roads with ditches on either side.....yeah, it's more than just aesthetics. The diesel J120's are around 1,600,000yen-ish whereas many of the base model J150's are 2,400,000yen+, 3,600,000yen for the diesel versions.Last edited by matsuki; 08-08-2016, 07:37 PM.

Why not go for a set of angle eye headlights.

They are for right hand drive and should work for you.

Those angel lights look good, but how are they better in performance than a standard headlight? I have tried searching online for info but I couldn't find any valuable info.Last edited by mick_tissa; 15-10-2016, 07:45 PM.
