Headlight adjustment 2012 kakadu

Gday all, I am over being flashed by oncoming traffic at night by people thinking I am on high beam. I can't see any adjustment screws on the headlights anywhere. Hoping someone has had the same problem and subsequent fix. Many thanks

The adjustment is at the rear axle.

Yeah tried that one on the Mrs amts. Hard to sell the " I need a new set of rear airbags to fix the headlights" line. 🙉 She wasn't buying into it.

The headlight height adjustment IS on the rear axle. Not joking.

As others have said the rear makes a difference. Is the back end sagging? Rear airbags ok?

Also do your headlights do their little dance when when you start the car with the headlights on? Obviously this is easy to see at night of in a garage.

Yeah the headlights are doing there little dance on start up and the rear bags are fine. Wouldn't it not achieve much by raising the rear as the headlights are self levelling?

You are recalibrating the level - so that it levels itself at the right spot.

I have already packed down the rear adjusters 9mm to bring it up after a front end lift, so should I adjust it even more amts? How much do you reckon to bring the head lights down?

I've had the same problem with stock suspension, send it in to Toyota but they did a worse job than before. I thought I had night blindness for a long while...

The steps are similar to those listed for the LC200. See link below-

On the 2010 Kakadu, there are 3 adjustment screw. The screw closest to the centre of vehicle adjust the headlight unit vertically. The middle screw adjust the headlight unit horizontally and the outside most screw adjust the high beam horizontally only.

I used the middle of the HID cut off slant as the central aiming point for horizontal aiming as it differs from the cut off pattern as illustrated in the link provided above. I found by using the base of the slant cut off aimed the lights too far left.

Thanks heaps Stan that diagram showed exactly how to drop the low beams. Hopefully should have a flash free drive to work in the morning. Much appreciated mate.

Amts the front is 790 mm and the rear is 815. Probably needs a bit more height in the rear hey?
