You mean Bob Jane's right? So much for the "beat it by 10%" then. Having said that is the independent getting their stock from the authorised Oz distributor?

I know 265/70/17 is a standard on these forums, but is it the tallest tyre you can fit without rubbing?

A 70 series rub on the sway bar at front at full lock.
65 is largest that don't rub..

The rub is not really an issue. Some have also commented they may touch mud flap whilst compressed and turning..

Yes - a bit dissapointed, but a small discount is better than no discount. And I believe so - the dealer is listed as a "recommended dealer"on the BFG website...I have asked if they'd like the opportunity to match the Bob Jane price.

Good call on the tyres spilsy, I don't think you'll look back! I love the look of them and I'm sure the fuel economy didn't change any more than I could counter-act by being lighter on the go pedal.

I found some on eBay for real cheap, (~310 a tyre + 15 fit/bal) but steered away incase they were fakes as I couldn't find anything reputable about the shop online. I'm in Melb though.

            Cheers, Will.

is there a mod to prevent this or would I just want +10 offset rims?

I have 265/70 17 BFG KO2 with (nominal) 2" lift. No rubbing anywhere or anytime with stock GXL wheels.

All booked in for the August 20. Hopefully my Lease budget will have enough funds buy then. And I think my tyres will be ready for replacement then too.

Not sure how different the FJs are, but one at work has 285/70R17s with just a 2 inch lift...they are big tyres...

Hi Spilsy, after giving my new rubber boots a run on the slippery high country on the weekend, Yes you do.
So much more solid and grounded.

I've lined up some BFGs for $340 a corner. I'm happy with this choice. Thanks though. Others may be interested if looking to get their hands on some Coopers though...
