  • supacentre 9in driving lights on sovereign bar

Has anyone got any photos or seen where people have mounted the 9in lights on the bar. Just got my set in the post and going to mount them. the bar obviously has the points where it flattens out but this doesnt suit the bracket for the light. The light will have to either sit forward of this point and lights will overlap the bar slightly. or they will sit behind the bar bolted near the edge closest to the grill.

Failing seeing how others do it ill post up how i get it done and how the lights perform.

The gap between the top tube and the base isn't large enough to fit the light and the bracket. You can't mount the light behind the tube as the grill will hit the light. I made a custom bracket to suit but have not mounted it yet.

Managed to get them on. They dont sit in the slots on the soverign bar. Ive bolted it sitting just forward of there. The lights sit forward a little but not too much and looks neat. Good lights havent properly tested them yet. With the three bolts on the bracket though they are well fastened. Just remember to put some teffgel or loctite to protect the aluminum bar from the ss bolt.

Anyone got them on a Toyota nudge bar?

Supacentre 9in driving lights are a three bolt job, so I am wondering how best to attach them to a genuine nudge bar. Bar has no brackets so will have to buy them -- but which brackets?

Ive just attached the 9inch LED spotties using only the centre bolt into the pre-existing hole in my TJM bullbar. The lights come with a rubber/neoprene mat to go between the light bracket and the bullbar, and so far they have been fine, haven't moved, so personally I wont bother with the additional mounting bolts.

                  Cheers Rooboy.
I am trying to work out if they will fit on the Sovereign. I know mounts have a big flat base on them and the bar wont like that. Might have to go something with a single bolt.

so just installed them on the bar looks great, solid and i only used the single bolt i will still get pictures up soon - i also bought the wiring kit however it seems to be confused when being used!! LOL when low beams are on, spotties are on and when high beams are on spotties are off.......... the kit is a simple plug and play job where you take one plug out of a light and piggy back off it back to a relay etc.

Before i go splicing wires i shouldn't be (rather not touch the main loom), does anyone have any suggestions for an easy fix?

Sounds like you are negatively switched. There is a thread on here somewhere on how to wire it.

thanks Corigator, after i posted my last post i had a bit of a youtube hunt and found some good information and had a crack - thankfully worked out.
Attached are a few pics - 1 showing the male end of the wiring harness how it needs to be wired up for anyone else who may encounter this, Another showing how much the lights protrude out from the bar and the last one showing front on - please excuse all the bugs
                          - overall very happy

Wow, predictive text I will try again. Did the holes match on the arb bar or did you have to modify it.
