Tie Rod End

I noticed one of my front tie rod end rubber boots has let go. Does anyone have any experience with the 555 brand ones?

I would use only 555 or genuine. I just bought 555 rack ends and tie rods to rebuild the original rack, all Jap made and found on ebuy. Forget no-name cheap cr@p.

OK thanks. Did you have to replace upper and lower ball joints or were yours OK?

KZJ95, mine are still OK at 200K, but I have all genuine on the shelf waiting for the day. I keep watch on ebuy and pick up the parts as they come up (eg genuine upper ball joints 10bux ea)

Cheers. I'm at 195 000km, I'll get the ball joint ts checked.. I'll jack the car up and confirm the rod going into the rack doesn't have movement before ordering parts.
