  • Prado roof rhino

Hi ive done a bit of searching but cant find just what i need. ill keep looking..

But looking to fit a rhino tray.

I have found one from a 100 series cruiser so its 2000 long by 1330 wide. The rhino page recommends 2000 by 1140mm for the prado. and the "tradie" version is 2128* 1236mm

the 2000 * 1140mm can also fit the cruiser. Anyway. Let me know what experience youve had or if it can be done. (NO ROOF RAILS)

    Thanks guys

The feet will be different. The tray will be fine. If anything, you might need to drill new holes in the tray.

oh ok thought the feet might have been similar. Struggling to find much on which RLCP type feet match up with what. Wasnt sure if it were just the rubber seals that were different or the whole thing. Any idea what the feet cost??

If you go to this page, then scroll down to Product Breakdown, you will find the feet+leg kit you need - RLCP03
        http://www.rhinorack.com.au/products...of-rack_ja0547

If you then click on the RLCP03 link, http://www.rhinorack.com.au/products...leg-x6-_rlcp03

and then click on the Fitting Instructions, you will then see the parts list for the feet which Rhinorack calls Mounting pad. The item number is 7A to 7F (i.e. the part number is M111 to M116)

The RLCP legs (p/no M123) should be common across many vehicles.

Edit: I checked the LC100 series HD 3-bar roof rack and the feet/leg kit is RLCP02 and the part numbers for the feet/mounting pads are M095 to M100. The leg has the same part number - M123

I fitted the Rhino 42107B platform on my Prado 120 (no rails), that's the 2128x1236mm version. The feet kit is the RLCP03.

I think the size is very good for the Prado. Is there a special reason why you'd like to use a different size of platform? Do you already have the 100 Series platform? I'm asking because I wouldn't really use a wider version than the 1236mms, could look a bit strange.

I can underline what Andrew said, the feet are the same, but the mounting pads are different to the 100 Series LC.
You can drill new holes into the platform and use this way other sizes than recommended by Rhino, that's an easy one. First pre-fit the feet to the roof. Then you can unscrew the internal cross bars of the platform, lift the whole thing up on the roof and move the cross bars front or back, till it fits the feet. Mark the positions for the new holes and take the platform back down. Drill new mounting holes for the crossies and put the screws back in. Then you can mount the feet to the platform as shown in the manual and get the whole thing up on the Prado and fix it with the six screws.

Btw, recommended for the 120 Prado are the 42102 and the 42107 platforms.

The Rhino Rack is a very nice platform, I'm using it for 18 months now and like it very much.

The reason im looking at this 100 series rack is because ive found one for a good price. The length is also good for what i want to store. My preference would go to a flat rack for style and height etc but not looking to spend that much money if i can find a tray / basket for less $$.

              Thanks

Ah I see...yeah a good price is a good point. Hope you'll get that 100 basket on your Prado properly ;-) Should be no big deal I think.
