  • Fitting a longer awning

I've got a roof awning, its 2.5m long.
Kind of stuck on how to fit it to my roof basket.

The basket is 1.6M in length, I can fit it with roughly 10-15cms of sitting out from the back of the roof basket. but no idea how to secure it at the front. theres about good 900cms just hanging at the front.

Heres a crude drawing of what im trying to do

In general, awnings have a maximum overhang of 60cm from its last mounting point/bracket.

Can you post a side pic of the Prado? If possible, move the basket forward and mount the awning centrally on the basket.

Or get a 2.5m length aluminium RHS and put this in between the awning and basket. The purpose of the RHS is to stiffen the awning so that it dampens the vibrations so that the awning doesn't fall apart.
