We also got rid of the jockey wheel and have just a jockey stand instead. I will be removing the rock protector and fitting a rock stomper mat, it will give me more room to open the prado rear door and protect the camper more. Hope some of that help

It wont matter what you use to stop stones, some will get through. I suggest corflute,or similar if you cant see out of the back or there is a company that makes Perspex to suit if you can see over your trailer. Leave your spare wheel cover at home to save it falling off on corrugations , or being peppered with stones. Give the rest of the rear door a really heavy wax/ polish before you go- it seems to protect the door a little.

Cory,
I would also recommend the stone Stomper for stone protection, I have just received one for my new camper, just need to wait another few weeks for the camper.
You may not need anything depending on where you go in the Flinders, there is plenty of options that can be accessed mainly on the black top and then do day trips to take in the 4wd tracks, depending on what you want to do and see.
Personally my favorites are:
Warrawena CP up near Leigh Creek, good spot to spend a few days with a couple of days of driving loop tracks, with some medium to hard.
Bendleby Ranges Out of Orroroo, also has some good loop tracks that give a couple of days of driving, with easy to hard.
Both would let you set up once and enjoy a few days of driving, which might be good for the first outing.

Check out their site on google, a SA company that a fellow pradopointer has on his camper and i saw how good it was on the Tasmanian GTG, Foxclan is his pradopoint name. Ive since seen other people with them and guaranteed that they wont let rocks or pepples flick back on the prado or pepper the camper.
