Fridge wiring size help please!

For the electricians,, To use 6 b&s or 8 b&s wire with a fuse at the battery seems pointless to me. To connect a say 6 b&s wire to the battery and then reduce the current flow through a "fuse" wire a thick as a hair then run the wire to the back of the car is nuts. Surely it must be better to use a circuit breaker near the battery and a separate fuse for the fridge or whatever is connected at the other end. I'm not a leccy just asking.

Raydes, you are correct for your circuit logic where electric motors & long cables are involved - 5 to 6M will see significant voltage drop under staring load even for small Grundfoss units - if you put the small load rated fuse at the battery end.

I made the Aux circuit to the back end (Jack compartment) with a C/B rated to protect 6 B&S cable at battery end! Then an inline fuse for each branch line to the fridge etc.
