I'm pretty sure you will rub on the front wheels when you try to turn. My 265/70/17 tyres rub without chains when on full lock.

I note Aldi have got snow chains in store at the moment - $66 a set I think.
They have two sizes, unfortunately neither of them seem suitable for 265/70R17, only 256/65Last edited by ozwapet2; 27-05-2016, 02:33 PM.Cheers, Wayne

So finally got around to fit the aldi chains again in my BFG 265/70/17 tires, to check if they fit (previously I had 265/65/17), and did the front wheels to see how it fits there.
So the chains fit easily onto the tires, but as mentioned earlier do not put them on the front wheels, unless you will drive only straight. They have enough clearance for that (just) , but at full lock, there are issues at two places, going both directions. , .
