Hey 150 drivers,
I've had a few questions lately about 150 lifts, and thought it would be a good idea to have a couple of reference plots, which always makes it easier to compare coils from different manufacturers.
Here is the data for the front from the 150 suspension measurements thread;
....and here is the data for the rear;
The most popular coil combination is the 885/889 combo from ARB.
There is a few TJM data points missing, and this is because the strut/shock lengths and coil free heights from TJM are all unknowns. I'll try to get some numbers from TJM. TJM also tend to use OEM spec lengths for struts/shocks, and get their lift using spacers, so it can be dependent on spacer thickness and how this changes the coil seat position relative to the OEM position of 212mm on the OEM 150 strut.
There's also a huge spread in coil rate being used on the front IFS compared to the OEM figure of 780lb/in, at least +/- 200lb/in. It has been reported that the VSC can trigger in unusual circumstances for soft coil rate/high rebound setup on the 150/FJ IFS.
Hope this helps you out with your coil selections!
Best
