I used one of those straps to compress the rear coils a little bit to get them in. Worked a treat

Quality of the handles is very good. The rubberised grip feels very nice. The strap is like any other normal strap. I have seen thinner strap material from the like of the Grunt brand from Bunnings.
Upon inspection, I noticed that at the bottom of the gear teeth, the material has bulged out and is rubbing on the 2 folded plates that form the base and the handle.
In addition, the 2 folded plates are assembled with a tight fit/squeeze.
The solution to this is to get some slip joint pliers (the ones in the 120 Prado toolkit in the rear door) and squeeze the base plate together. This then relaxes the force of this plate on the gear and allows the strap to be released.Last edited by amts; 06-02-2017, 11:40 AM.
