    Geez IDestiny, I haven't experienced those delayed gear changes either.. I believe Toyota can reset the auto computer, that may be all it needs??

      Something is wrong then..I don't think I have ever floored it...or have had to back off for it to change gears...seriously...Houston, you have a problem.

        While i think it is a problem, I am uncertain if it is considerably different to what others have (though I will be visiting the local dealer with some evidence soon(ish)).

        When the gear doesn't shift, the natural inclination is to ease off the pedal (and that's what most peeps do). It works for me too... but i also found that instead of keeping the throttle constant when the gear is stuck, when I start giving it more juice (the rate at which I do it obviously changes with road conditions) it also shifts (probably because I push it (and the speed!) pass the grey area where gear change is rife with indecision). In hindsight 'flooring' would seem a bad choice of words... 'more throttle' is a better choice, perhaps?

        Either way, this is one aspect (more so than the drive line bump) that annoys me and will be asking the dealership to look into it.

          I have the driveline bump, mentioned it in the other thread, and recently have noticed a delay/hesitancy for it change down to a lower gear, havent noticed it for higher gears. I attributed it to the non spec tyres but I cant recall it always being this way. Wouldnt surprise me if theres an element of learning in some of the ecu activities, and is now out of whack.
