Heading back from New Year's Camping near Gloucester and noticed the TowPro was in manual mode. It wouldn't go into Auto mode which made the drive on the winding dirt roads interesting as the brakes kept locking up.
It eventually went into limp mode and was flashing 1 Yellow/3 Purple. The manual just says the exact sequence determines the fault but doesn't list them. When we got to somewhere with phone service a bit of Googling found a facebook post that says this indicates a connection issue in the 7 pin plug or the Redarc unit's DC plug.
In my case it was the 7 Pin plug. The brake pins (Pin 5) on the trailer plug were pushed together, and the socket looked dirty. I spread the pins with a small screwdriver and scraped some of the gunk out of the socket and the unit came back to life.
