  • New 6 Spd v6 fuel consumption

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has real world fuel usage figures for the 2015 /16 Prado with the 6 spd auto?

    Thanks

As I found when researching LC200 petrol fuel consumption, there is a huge variation with heavy cars & big engines as they are very sensitive to how they are driven and the conditions.

I dont have the new 6sp, but for your info ...

My 2010 150 V6 does about 11.5L/100kms for city driving up to about 15.8L/100kms for city driving depending on the 'city' conditions (probably take off about 0.5L/100kms if I removed my chunky AT tyres and put back on the Dunlop tyres. With country driving at 110km/h, it is perhaps about 12-13L/100kms.

Generally my fuel consumption is about 12.5L/100kms for all my driving (95% city).

      Thanks Matt12,

I see your consumption is definitely lower than the 120 series. Hopefully with the 6spd auto it will be even better. Great fuel usage considering size of vehicle and motor.
Just as an add on I was towing my Jayco 16.49-3 mainly hwy driving and returned 17.5l/100km which if had it been the diesel dare I say I would have had probably between 14-15l/100km. Definitely going to continue with the V6 2016 I have already ordered. Great motor with plenty of torque and power.
