The latest one was last week (ongoing).

I haven't purchased a quote yet as I wasn't happy when I was told about the underwriter capping me at $20k for mods given I had no trouble earlier. Why would the amount be an issue now as opposed to earlier this year given my premiums will reflect this large amount to be insured?

    Thanks for answering my questions.
    No problem Rorza,

Your earlier quote was under a differing process where there was no underwriter interaction - as such it went through. With the revised process, given the underwriter interaction, there is going to be room for adjustment. Did you have to send in photos and a detailed list of mods?

Can you send me through your latest quote number and i'll check it out for you.

    Cheers

Yeah, I did have to send through photos and a mods list.

          • I've just switched from a fleet policy to Club with the $15k recovery cover option. Very nice guys to deal with.

              • New to the club after just purchasing a facelift 150 Prado. I was amazed with the quote from Club 4x4 - almost 2k per year. Clean driving history, vehicle is garaged, no previous claims and 32 year old driver. Needless to say I went with Coles for almost 75% less and an agreed value of $65k with mods. I'm sure the off-road extra inclusions are great, but not for the price quoted to me.

Sorry we couldn't help you out, but pleased you found an insurer that covers your needs.

                  • G'day guys,

Not sure if anyone has noticed but we are running another competition - this time giving away 1 of 5 Hema Navigators.

All you have to do is click the link, enter your details and a quote number for your insurance. You can also enter your policy number (why should you be penalised if you're already a customer!)

It is a Facebook based competition and i know not everyone likes or uses Facebook, but thought i'd share anyway.

                    HERE'S THE LINK

                    Cheers and good luck!

                    • Morning all,

I thought i would jump on here and let everyone know that today we re-launched our Caravan and Camper Trailer product - covering Caravans, Camper Trailers, Slide on Camper and 5th Wheelers.

We've added some great coverage items including our Laid Up Cover, which allows you to nominate certain seasons in the year where you know you wont be using the trailer and would take a limited coverage for a cheaper premium, along with our Breakdown and Accident towing cover - removing the uncertainty around who covers the cost of towing the van if the tow vehicle is damaged or broken down.

Plenty more including a 10% multi-policy discount if you couple the product with the best 4X4 Insurance product on the market! We've also launched our new quoting website which allows you to quote both your tow vehicle and trailer at the same time - simplifying this and making the process of getting a price easier :-)

                      • Major factor is how claims are dealt with. The only way to determine this is to get feedback from people who have had to make a claim against a policy. The policy details and costs are important, but if an insurance company becomes a stick in the mud as soon as you make a claim, no amount of discount or extras are worth it. There are many ways you can be stuffed around when you claim.

                          Your timing is not good.
I got a quote for my caravan last month from Club4x4 and it was over $2400 and more than twice what i was paying with my current insurer. I was told there was a review going on and Club 4x4would price match my current renewal. I figured that would make no difference for this year but next year it would possibly go way back so renewed my current insurer.
Just did an online quote out of interest and it would now be a couple of hundred cheaper than my current one..

                            Hi enuenu,

As a customer i totally agree - it's particularly hard when it's a new brand - trust takes time to build.

Here's a couple of testimonials that may help

                              Hi Ian,

It sounds like you may still be in the cooling off period with your current insurer. Even i you're not, id be pretty certain that any cancellation fee will be take care of by that price differential you've mention.

                              Food for thought
