  • Prado 150 Rock sliders

Hi all, hope this is the right place to post.

Just after any info on who does rock sliders / side steps for the Prado. I know arb etc do but I would prefer to get them done by a small firm. I'm on the Sunshine Coast but can travel to Bris for some.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

Try KC Works as well. Not the cheapest but the quality of his work is very very good.

Thanks. Have come across Elite Engineering at Nambour. Anyone heard of them? Seem like a good product and well priced.

Who did you end up going with?
Can you please post a pic?

Looking at options for mine now. Currently liking the look of Uneek 4x4 sliders. They use a punched plate on top that looks a little different to the standard checker plate.

I am interested in hearing also. At this point I am leaning towards to Rock Armor steps/sliders due to price and the fact that they sit quite high along the sill. Though I am not sure I like the angled step down towards the rear tyre..

Hi guys. Ended up just going arb as I got a pretty good discount when ordering everything else. An issue with the smaller guys was that they wanted the car for a wk to make the sliders and then wanted it again for 2 days to fit the sliders after they had been powder coated. Just wasn't able to sort this out. Arb ones seem ok and they were pretty easy to fit. Can post a pic if anyone is still interested.

IMO rock armour are good. Easy to fit, cheap, look good, sit nice & work!
Lots of the guys have them.

I have the powerful4x4 rock armour side step/sliders and couldn't be happier with them for the price. They have survived a cape trip and saved my sills a couple of times just this weekend at landcrofter park. They fit well and as #### said are easy to fit. Just be aware that shipping can take a while from these guys, they tend to use the cheapest freight possible. Only thing I would advise is to replace the nuts on the tread hold down bolts with nylocks to stop them rattling off and dissapearing.

This is a shot of my Prado with Powerful 4X4 Rock Sliders on it, they haven't budged in over 12 months, although I haven't had the car hanging off them....yet.
