Hi Folks,
I own a 2010 TXL V6 automatic transmission, and over the course of the last week I feel that my car is not accelerating like it was the week before. I personally feel that I have to press down with a bit more pressure than before to get the same acceleration as before (sluggish performance) and this is particularly noticeable for me in lower gears and when driving up a sloped road. I am also noticing that the car is kind of roaring more than usual only slightly when i push my foot on the accelerator. I am not a heavy speedster and have been driving the car sensibly with no off road driving.
Unfortunately, I currently live in Saudi Arabia and getting trustworthy advice of a mechanic and the dealership can be very difficult. However, I did take it to the local Toyota dealership today where one of the technicians took it for a drive and said it drives fine, and that I was being paranoid about the issue. However, I have noticed the change over the course of the last week and am certain that I am not being paranoid. He did say to ease my mind he can run a diagnostic test but I think seeing as I have no warning lights on my dash board, the diagnostic test will not highlight the issue. I am afraid that if there is a problem, that I may be wearing out the transmission or some parts within the engine itself which may result in me having to pay hefty repair costs.
Has anyone here ever had a similar issue or is anyone able to provide me with some advice as to what I should do next??!! I am seriously confused with this one and any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!
