Hey guys, i recently purchased a 120 series gxl v6 prado... And am stoked with it drives great on and off road... But as we all know 4 wheel drives are more fun with a few mods (lol) i'm unsure if it has been lifted but it has reciepts for 41mm touch dog struts put in less than a year ago, just wondering what would be the best option for a lift as i want to run tyres around the 33" size ie: because the suspension is fairly new could i get away with a body lift or is it best to change out the whole lot?

There's a whole heap of discussion about whether or not you can fit 33" tyres on the 120. General consensus seems to be it's extremely difficult to fit them without being illegal... (in most states, maximum lift without eng cert is 50mm, in QLD you can go to 75 if the first 50 is suspension or body lift, and the last 25 is oversized tyres)
The most common sizes (33x10.5r16 or 285/75/r16) are so wide that they'll rub on the UCA on full lock. You could buy after-market wheels with a negative offset, but then you'll need wheel flares and you'll probably still have rubbing in the wheel arch at flex. You could fix this with a body lift, but on top of your lift you'd need to get an engineering cert to be fully legal.
