Stop stereo turning off automatically

I'm really loving the 150 particularly now that she's in the process of getting kitted out for her first real trip. There are however a couple of odd quirks some of which are a minor nuisance, others are bordering on stupefying. The big one here is the bloody auto off feature on the stereo which has a nasty habit of interrupting one's beer time half way between fills. Is there some simple way that I've completely missed to disable this 'life saving' feature or extend the bloody time to something a little more reasonable, say 4 beers?

That's a good one. I'll check with techstream on the weekend if you can modify it

Yes there is a simple method involving the position of the shift lever. I'll find it and post back.

For autos, put in neutral, turn off engine then put into Park.

For manuals, put into neutral, park brake on, tap Start Button twice.

Is that just for the radio or does that keep the acc on as well? Would be handy for UHF etc that run from acc.

It keeps ACC on.

For autos, put in neutral, turn off engine then put into Park.

If you leave it in any gear and turn it off, the ACC stays on...not sure if its on a time limit though.

Thanks guys. It is actually hidden away in the manual although not in so many words IE: Read between the lines because we don't want to be responsible for you sending your battery flat. Found whilst up in the North West a few weeks back. In any position other than neutral, the time out is 20min. Neutral worked a treat.
