Hi all,
Big trip in a few weeks, and in the interest of saving a few pennies and NOT buying a HN7, I thought I'd go with Oziexplorer on an Android Tab.
I'm now thinking it was a pretty big mistake. I've probably spent $300-$400 on the app, PC software plus Hema 2015 maps, but the Android app is buggy to say the least. I made this purchase quite a while ago in the hope that the BETA (test) version of the app would make it to an final release, but alas, it has not.
The issues I'm having: app crashing consistently when trying to navigate to waypoints. Trying to delete all waypoints in the app, but many still remain, and several others. The (anti-) navigation one kind of renders the app useless.
I'm using it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S, which is by no means under-cpu'd.
My Question. Are there other decent Android apps out there (besides HEMA Explorer), where I can make use of the several hundred dollars spent on the Hema 2015 maps.
I do have an Ipad 2 (no-GPS) with the full Hema app/maps plus a BT GPS, but the fact I have to power a separate GPS turns me off. There must be a decent Android app.
Any help appreciated. I have asked the Oziexplorer people for help with the PC software, to which they responded almost immediately, but when I asked about the Android app, I didn't receive a response.
