So after an interstate move I have arrived in Adelaide and I am in the process of moving into a new house next week. After this is all sorted I will be ready to head out and about on a few day trips and overnighters (when the fines up for the other half). So my question is: where are all the good place to go for day trips around the Adelaide area??

Robe to Beachport is a good weekend trip.
Warren Gorge just out of Quorn there is all so a 4WD you can do there as well called Arden Hills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d123GatnZt4
One of my favorites is the SA - VIC board track from Pinaroo to Board town.

Sounds good mate. I try to go for a drive every second week end, ill be moving in to the house etc next week end but after that I should be good for any weekend that suits you.

I'm sure we can get a few cars along for any others interested??

Where would you suggest for an "orientation drive"??

Welcome to the City of Churches.
And as those Led roadwork signs read "EXPECT DELAYS".
Some good suggestions above.
A little bit further afield but there are some great parks and 4wding on the Eyre Peninsular also.

Cheers mate, even with road works traffic here is ten times better than what I'm used too!!

Around Adelaide there are more better weekend trips than day trips having a camp for a night or two, northern Flinders is the go, or along the Murray, or in the sand dunes South of Adelaide.

yep, wot theys said - Flinders all the way! Plus a few trips per year to the Barossa and Clare Valley for essential supplies and you'll be sweet mate

Hi all,

I'm over in Adelaide for a holiday at the end of the month and I was wondering if anyone wanted to show me around the sand dunes near Robe on Thursday the 1st or Friday the 2nd of October? I haven't done any real sand driving (all mud, clay and rocks in the high country) and I was hoping to just get a couple of hours in before I continue on my way back to Victoria.
