So I have currently installed a dealer fitted sat nav in my 120 series 2008 prado. Works with the steering wheel controls, has a mic and activation button for bluetooth phone calls and also works with a rear camera using factory wiring in the rear. Unfortunately doesnt have USB or aux connection. and cant stream music
Found on ebay a sat nav from a new toyota that has bluetooth for calls and streaming music, usb, sd card and sat nav.
Question is will it just plug and play and everything still work. main things being reverse camera, steering wheel controls and mic?
As you can see from the pics I needed to get a radio antenna adapter as the newer toyotas have a different connection. It also has a second blue wire, does anybody know what that is for? also the new sstereo came with a small magnetic box as seen in the pics? is that the antenna for the sat nav?
I wanted some advice before I get stuck into it and possibly waste a few hours only to find its different connections or I loose some functions which I wont be happy with.
So has anybody made the change?
Old stereo /sat nav
