That tyresales site doesn't state whether they're LT or not. I know there was a batch imported that were passenger spec and they were rubbish...

You have a point there are a few different load ratings, but I thought in that size they are all lt, I see its 112r which while its not the highest rating it's well over gvm & what we should be carrying.
Regardless of which rating, still the cheapest price I have ever heard on a bfg 70 series 17".
What part of the tyre was rubbish & why?

I did think hard about going this way with the KO's, but in the end I liked the look of the KO2's too much. I figured the extra I spend now spread out over the life of the tyres was minimal.

I have to admit I like the new ones, but I think I will wait till the NEW price goes down to reality.
Also I'm not sure you can beat a bfg a/t all round.
Shans set have done 50k & barely measurable wear maybe 2mm used.
They grip well
Very reliable tyre
At the cheaper end of the scale too.
I'd expect the ko2 to be down in a year or 2, if they are not gone because the best was born 50 years ago, that's why every 2nd 4by has them on

In my many experiences over 20 years, Kmart will get in any tyre.

I was just going off their TV ad ####, not trying to be negative. If Kmart can get them in and beat other prices it's all good.

I got my KO2's from my local tyre guy for $351 each fitted.

I was going to go a set of KO's from tyresales until I decided to double check with my usual tyre place - as the last time I checked the 265/70's weren't yet out.
He said that he had a few sets he could get for around the $1k mark fitted, however BFG are no longer manufacturing the KO's so are just selling whatever stock they have left.
I wasn't really overly keen on a discontinued tyre on the off chance something happens and I need a new one......

He even said when I picked up my car that they had 6 sets in their melbourne warehouse and someone came in and bought them all.

Try Jax Essendon, tell them I sent you, ( Prado crew) that will be a fair starting point, I think.

I'm not sure what drugs these people are on when they make up the retail tyre prices.
