Mt Matlock Day Drive Sat 11th July

When: Sat 11th July
Where . Mt Matlock
Meeting 8am Bp Officer
Plan was to head towards Mt Baw Baw and go up Nine Mile Woods Rd, a few of us did that road coming back from Matlock last year and it was a good drive.


Snow is expected of few days this week and Saturday so it could be falling while up there .

What you need:
Usual recovery gear.
Lunch & drinks.

Would love to go Anders but not sure if I will be OK, just had surgery yesterday. Haven't been on a trip in ages, getting stir crazy!

Aaaaaaagh! Anders! I'm coming over on the Sunday for a few days at Mt matlock! I'm hoping to camp at the hut as per last year. Would be great to catch up with the Victorian crew again. We won't be there till late arvo Sunday.

Hey Ben, wrong weekend for me except Saturday. I would of come up and camped and done a couple of days with you it's just the wrong couple of days with my work.
Snow is expected a few days this week and Saturday so you may of just planned the right time to come or if it's the only time hopefully it works out.
Mate the best I could do is Wednesday for a drive if your still up there.

No drama, certainly wouldn't want you to hurt yourself after the surgery. I'm not excepecting the drive to be hard unless anyone wants to be a little more adventurous so see how you go.

Sounds like fun, and its been a while since we had a drive. I can come for the drive, but the girls cant come due to other commitments. Hopefully that snow will come around the end of the week to make it an interesting drive.

Hey mate. No worries. I can't come over until the Saturday. Wish I could have made your Saturday trip! I'm planning to head up to mt matlock Sunday morning possibly with ####. I'm thinking of camping at the hut for a few nights.
Looks like there's some good snow forecast for Saturday and Sunday! Can I be that lucky again?

Hey Anders, If the Prado is fixed and we are not working on getting it ready for our North trip we will see if we can make it. 50/50 at this stage.

Ben looks like your going to get snow but could be a Blizzard. The winds are going to pick up Sunday and if your going to camp at Matlock it will be cold .

No worries Dave, 4 cars at the moment, Snow hunters keep saying its going to be a ripper but the weather deteriorating Sat night onwards with the winds.

Looks like you should have plenty of snow.

Still thinking about going both days, hard part is getting the mrs & kids to the rendezvous point by 8am.
