    Hi All

    Ive been running 275 65 17 for a few years now. Yesterday i decided to go to a 285 70 17 with a +6 offset.

I get a little tyre rub against my front mudflaps on full lock, otherwise its all good.

My only concern is that my wheel nuts are only doing 6 turns until hand tight. I think im going to buy a set of wheel nuts with a shank and tapered end so i can get a few more turns out of it.

      Hey Nightrod,

Is that lifted? I'm keen for bigger tyres but don't want a lift.

      Regards

        Nightrod,
        Very nice looking rig!
        A couple,questions if I could?

The achillies tires? How do you like them? I know they are big in the U.S. But new here. Have you had them on previously, or is this your first go?
The offset of +6 give you a bit of rub? What would you suggest to eliminate than rub?

Lastly if not too intrusive what is one looking at per corner for the Achillies?

        Thx
        Pierre

Car has a 2 inch lift,

I haven't tried Archilles tyres on a 4x4. I did have archilles tyres on my V8 M3 a few years ago and they were pretty good for the price I paid. I'm hoping these mud tyres will serve me well.
I paid $2100.00 for wheels and rubber

I think trimming the mud flap will stop the rubbing, but not sure how they'll go at full flex.

          So far I'm pretty happy

Just curious, did you have a hub ring fitted to the rims? The fuel website lists center bore specs as 108mm, but I thought the prado hub was 106mm...

That price sounds very good for wheels and tires
Is that for four or five?

What's the name of the shop you got them at?

                    Thx

Had a bit of a play over the weekend just so i could see how my new wheel/rim setup performs.

My drivers front tyre rubbed a few times on the inside, but wasnt too bad. Other than that i was happy.

I was running my pressures at 25psi and didnt have a problem

That's a mean looking wheel and tyre combo. Just need the spare sorted. Will the 285/70r17 +6 offset fit on the rear door?

Im not sure, i personally wouldnt hang that much weight off the door.
If im not busy one of these weekends ill give it a shot.
