  • Avensis calipers on the 90

come across this to fix the handbrake that always needs adjusting, avensis calipers fit on opposite sides and mechanically wind out the piston when applied, anyone tried anything like this ?

i read that one a while ago, just not sure on the legality of the modification?

... would be great to have brakes that hold though.

I think engineering sign off would be necessary and not hard to get provided the braking system worked as well as standard. I like it.

yeah i love the idea, i'd pay someone else to do it and engineer, if they knew a rough costing for it... anyone?

Samuel there are a few automotive engineers around the N of Brisbane. Give Justin from TJM Brendale a call, he can put you into someone if this is outside his comfort zone.
