Tyres needed

Hi All,
I need some tyres with enough tread to tie me over for a couple of months (say roughly 3000k's). Ideally I need 5 but 4 is also an option if I can still purchase a new tyre to complete the set. It's for a 120 series Prado, road biased or all terrain tyres preferable. I'm based in Sydney so anywhere up to an hours radius of Sydney, alternatively I'll be heading up to Port Macquarie on the weekend if you're around there.

I've got 5 steel king rims with old Cooper ST's 275/70/17. You can have the lot for $100. They will probably last 5,000. The tyres are pretty hard. Your call

Yup - and finally getting 5 matched tires... still got the original Grandtrek on the rear door.

Every tyre wears differently on every car, so buying 2nd hand tyres can have bad effects on your suspension and steering. I would recommend buying cheaper new tyres rather than cheap 2nd handers.. you can find all terrain tyres brand new for round $120 each if you need the for the time being.. if your in sydney i can give you the name and number of a place that deals in cheaper tyres.

I have
2 off BFG All Terrain 275/65R17 legal tread but only just you can have for free
2 off Dunlop AT20 265/65R16 Grand treks with about 4-5 mm of tread you can have for free
and also a set off 4 2008 Prado steel rims fitted with BFG All Terrain 275/65R17 with 4 to 6mm tread $ 450.00 set of 4

Pick up Narellan Vale (near Camden NSW) or Homebush Bay

I agree, to a degree, with your point of view but I'm also wary of cheap tyres but can you pass on the name and number of the place and I'll look into the tyres they offer.
