On my previous 80 series, I stored the hi-lift across the back floor, and used it to change a flat tyre. Used the tow bar as the jacking point. Easily lifted the side with the flat tyre, gave it a jiggle before the tyre was removed, but it was steady. (though not advising anyone else to do that, was the only way to get enough height to remove the flat tyre)
On the Prado, I have a TJM steel bar, with jacking points on the front to fit the hi-lift (not used it though)
