  • King/Bilstein 2" lift - group buy

    I'm running a group buy on a full suspension upgrade (40-50mm lift) for the 120 and 150 Prado. The kit consists of the following medium duty springs:
    • 4 Bilstein shocks (Front: 2x BE5-A712 & Rear: 2x BE5-A713)
    • 4 King springs (Front: 2x KTFR-101 & Rear: 2x KTRR-102)

    These are Australian stock with Australian warranty.

    A minimum of 10 sets is required to kick off the group buy
    A minimum of 5 is required if you want to change to the HD springs

    Cost is $1175 for the kit

    Pickup will be available from Adelaide and Sydney.
    Freight is approx. $25 to metro areas of Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth

    There isn't enough Bilstein stock at the moment but more is expected in 6-8 weeks. I'm starting this now to gauge interest. If you're interested/definite, please email me at [email protected]with the following details:

          You got more info or links on the kit.? What weight can I expect to put on the front and rear before I see sag etc
          On the front I plan to have a bar, lights, dual batteries and most likely a winch. For the rear I tow a boat with a draw bar rating of 200kg.

            You will need the HD springs for the front with bullbar, winch and dual batteries fitted.
            For the rear, it is better to fit the standard raised springs and then add airbags for towing.

              Interested to find out more, was one of things on my wish list in being new to this. Probably in the HD springs given the scenario above, got the bar going on in a couple of weeks. Will having KDSS on the VX make any difference. I think I've read it shouldn't and they are able to be adjusted for it. Any ideas on rough cost to get them fitted?

                  KDSS is a small hurdle where you require uneven length front springs to correct out the lean after the lift. Or you can utilise the Bilsteins adjustable spring seat to correct the lean.

                      Thanks amts.

                      I'll just stick with the standard raised springs as I hear/read drivers were happy with this setup with just a bar on the front.

                      If down the track I need too (after putting a winch & battery) I will put HD on the front, but for now the standards should be fine just with a bar. - please tell me if I'm wrong.

                      Can these shocks be rebuilt/serviced down the track if required?
                      Are these shocks for the Aust market? i.e. comes with Australian warranty


                      Sorry for all the Q's but I need to ask them.

                          AMTS - yes I am in Adelaide mate. Do the kits for a VX come with the uneven spring or adjustable spring seat or would that be something I'd need to look at separately from the kits your organising?
                          Having read the install link might not be as difficult as I thought, Im always keen to try most things myself (how else do you learn), but guidance on the install might be something I'd take you up on, always good to lean on someone else's IP. I'll keep the offer in mind, speak to SWMBO about the purchase and go from there.
